تظاهرة اكثر من مائة من الحيفاويين يوم الخميس، 27/12/2001، احتجاجًا على زيارة السفاح شارون الى مقار المطرانية في المدينة بحجة "تكريم الطوائف المسيحية في عيدها" في الوقت الذي يجلسون فيه مئات الالاف من أطفال فلسطين دون أعياد....
وقد اعتدت قوات من الوحدة الخاصة التابعة للشرطة على المتظاهرين بالضرب المبرح، مما ادى الى اصابة بعد المتظاهرين واضطرار أحدهم إلى تلقي العلاج في مستشفى "رامبام" في المدينة. كما واعتقلت الشرطة الرفيق يوآف بار، عضو المكتب السياسي للحركة، بحجة "الاعداء على قوات الشرطة"(!) وهددت أيضًا باعتقال المحامي ايمن عودة (عضو بلدية حيفا عن الجبهة) الذي حاول يمنع العنف خلال الاعتقال
وقد مددت محكمة الصلح في المدينة اعتقال الرفيق يوآف لمدة 5 ايام

على ايدي قوة من الوحدة الخاصة التابعة للشرطة, خلال تظاهرة الاحتجاج على زيارة

وأدان البيان محاولات الشرطة والاجهزة الأمنية
المختلفة ملاحقة كوادر حركة ابناء البلد, وحملة التحريض التي تشنها هذه الأجهزة
وأقلامها عبر وسائل الاعلام العبرية المختلفة, والعربية أحياناً أخرى

الأمين العام, الرفيق محمد كناعنة بياناً أكد فيه أن محاولة التضييق على كوادرنا
وعلى حركتنا من كافة المشارب الأمنية والحزبية لن تثنينا عن مواصلة حمل مشروعنا
الوطني الديمقراطي, وبناء الدولة الديمقراطية العلمانية في فلسطين التاريخية
وأعتبر الأمين العام أن اعتقال يوآف بار هو اعتقال سياسي, ومحاولة لتلفيق
تهم للرفيق بار, وذلك على خلفية نشاطه المتواصل في صفوف حركة أبناء البلد

وأٌطلق سراح الرفيق يوآف بار بعد ثلاثة أيام من الاعتقال, إذ لم يحضر أحد من شرطة
حيفا الى الاستئناف الذي تقدمت به المحامية أورنا كوهين من جمعية "عدالة". وهذا يدل
على ضعف موقف الشرطة وعلى محاولاتهم لتلفيق تهم باطلة للرفيق يوآف
Comrade Yoav bar, a CC member of Abnaa elBalad Movement released from detention
The central committee of Abnaa elBalad movement, and the general secretary comrade Mohamad Kana'aneh, condemn the persecution of the police and other security services against the movement caders, and declare that all those steps will never stop our democratic and patriotic struggle for better the establishment of a secular democratic Palestine.
The movement consideres the detention of comrade Yoav Bar a political detention, and another try to persecute the political activists in the ranks of the movement.
It's
important to note that comrade Yoav Bar was released after 3 days in detention, as the police didn't show of in the apeal hearing in the district court of Haifa.

A large force of “Israeli” police, boarder guard and security services,
assaulted in a brutal and barbaric fashion the homes of Comrade Muhammad Asa’d Kanaa’nah, Secretary General of Abnaa al-Balad form Arrabah, and activists Ali Zebidat, Jamal Khalil and Adel Khalil from Sakhnin around 2:30 AM on Wednesday morning, and arrested all five while terrorizing their children and families.
This campaign of arrests came in response to the massive demonstration
protesting the visit of the “Israeli head of state” Moshe Tatzav -- who is well
know for his racist and fascist practices against our Palestinian people in
general and the Palestinians of the inside in particular -- to the city of
Sakhnin, a city that two of her youth were martyred during the uprising of last October and many more were injured and arrested.
The reception of Katzav by the mayor of Sakhnin, members of the city council and others, created a fervent feeling of anger and disgust among a huge crowd of the city’s residents who took the streets in protest of his visit and to send him a clear message that he is not welcome in their city.
The detention of all five comrades has been extended by the court in Akka, accusing them of disrupting the visit of the “head of state” to Sakhnin, vandalizing police cars and attacking police officers. In addition, the police department has indicated its intention to launch yet another campaign of arrests.

detainees
* We strongly condemn the invitation and reception of the “head of state” by Sakhnin’s mayor and city council
* We condemn the mayor’s statement in the media against the demonstrators, and we hold him accountable to what has lead to the arrests of our comrades

في أعقاب الاحتجاج الجماهيري على زيارة العنصري كتساف (رئيس دولة اسرائيل) الاستفزازية لمدينة سخنين بتاريخ 8/12/2001 أعتقل 5 من المتظاهرين، بينهم الرفيق محمد أسعد كناعنة – أبو أسعد – أمين عام الحركة، وقُدمَت ضدهم لوائح إتهام (لقرائة نص لائحة
الاتهام أنقر هنا)، )، وقد
عُقدت عدة جلسات تخص الملف، كانت أخرها معينة ليوم الأربعاء 27/10/2004.
ولكن النيابة لم تبلغ مصلحة السجون باحضار الرفيق أبو أسعد الى المحكمة،
ولذلك أُجلت الجلسة الى أجل غير مسمى .
